Today's topic: Something you hope to do in your life.
Here y'all go. Here's a little look into Abby's grandiose bucket list.
You wanna know the #1 thing I hope to do in my life...
More kids? Maybe someday, but that's not my #1.
Write a book? Ha! I'm not that confident a writer.
Teach the world to sing? Probably should start with myself.
The #1 thing I want to do in my life... remodel an old house. Preferably, I would pay someone to do it to my exact specifications, but I could handle a little DIY. Yep, I want an old house something from 1910 or maybe 1920 or even 1943 like my current house. But, I want it to not function like an old house.
You see, I actually want a place for a modern size fridge. I want a laundry room. I want MORE THAN ONE BATHROOM.
I want all of this while still retaining the old charm. I love my phone nook, my ironing board cubby turned spice cabinet, and my worn, and never refinished, hardwood floors. I love the old doorknobs, the paned windows, the fatty baseboards, the arched entryways, and even the non-functioning fireplace with gorgeous mantel.
But, I would also love to not utilize my bed as a laundry room. I would love to not have to scurry down to the wet basement to do my laundry, and I'd love to not have to convince my son to get out of the bathroom so I CAN PEE!
I want a house with all the charm of bygone days, but with all the convenience of our modern life.
Now, who wants to give me 699,000 dollars?
How about you? What's #1 on your bucket list?

I love it.
You can come practice on my house if you want to.
Oooh, I'd love to do that someday too--old houses have SO much character. But Mr. D is NOT handy so we'd end up divorced for certain.
Better stick with the newer and a happy marriage, @GG. Lucky for @marty, her husband IS handy.
