Dey Dite De Die-Ants

There was a moment in the middle of the show where it hit him. He suddenly realized who that actually was up there on the stage. His face lit up, he looked at me, and suddenly began singing along: "Oh no no!"

It's They Might Be Giants, kid, and you've got seats in the fourth row!

Sure, it was a lot of waiting and it was a bit loud (his stereo will most certainly be louder in his teenage years). Sure it was a bit overwhelming what with all those people singing along and it was not a free roaming activity, but we thought it was a fantastic time and I think this guy agreed.

Before the show, we went through Daddy's entire pre-concert routine. We listened to all their albums we own, watched all their music videos we could find, and listed what we hoped the set list would include.

Daddy- "Where Do They Make Balloons?" and "Seven Days of the Week (I Never Go to Work)"

Mommy- "Seven" and "Alphabet of Nations"

Linus- "Seven"; "Ooh La Ooh La"; "High Five" and "Seven Days of the Week" (or as he calls it 'No No')

Sadly, he only got to hear half of the ones on his list. He didn't mind though as the song that captured his heart the most was one from No! (a much less played album*) called "I Am Not Your Broom". He was entranced with the 'talking' broom and listened to the song over and over again today.

All in all, the concert was a fantastic success. We were thrilled to be able to share the experience with good friends and hope to share many similar experiences with Linus in the future.

*Due to it being greatly overplayed in my 1st grade classroom.

Oh how FUN!! I LOVE those songs; it looks like he had a blast!!! Sometime maybe the first week of October lets meet up at the museum near your house-before then I am just swamped with work.

AND I think your husband and my husband would bond well; Bill has about 3 copies of monopoly (though I do have one disney version...)

All he needs is a cellphone with a lighter app in his right hand and that kid is ALL set! He "gets" concerts already!
