Speaking of fantastic friends, I have to give a HUGE shout-out to the man who saved the day... our friend Simpson. Simpson was already aware of our contractor's initial hesitation because he's the professional industrial drywall foreman that we originally called for suggestions to give our contractor regarding the challenge. Well, once our contractor bailed, in desperation and feeling very guilty, I forced Adrian to give Simpson a call regarding our situation. And let me tell you, Simpson came through in a BIG way.
He came to take a look, made a few phone calls, and arranged for the work to recommence on Saturday.
And voila!

Yay! What a relief. Unfinished projects make me anxious, and believe me, we have several. It's going to be a nice space for Adrian's office (that's what you guys are using it for, right?). Enjoy the fun part--painting and decorating. I can't wait to see the finished reveal!
