If you're a regular reader here, you know that Linus is slightly delayed in his oral expressive language- meaning he signs but doesn't talk much. However, in true Linus style, he's decided to start to pick up a few words in the weeks preceding his already scheduled formal speech evaluation (round 2). Let's just cross our fingers that he doesn't show up for the evaluation and greet the administrator with, "Please come in. Have a seat. Would you like a drink?"
Here's what he's got.
Puh-puh-puh = pineapple
Babboon = balloon
LaLa = Eliza, our cat
I'm pretty impressed with these newly acquired words considering he has me for a role model. The mom who asked him today, "Are you ready to go inside and eat your hands?"
That's right, I can't even form the separate thoughts required to tell him we're going to go inside, wash our hands, and eat lunch. I swear the more words he attains, the fewer I have. It's almost a parasitic relationship.

In other news, my friend Marty is continuing the conversation on blog post quality versus quantity over at Don't Take the Repeats. If you haven't already, please make your voice heard in the poll to your right.

I'm not voting even though I lurve you. Because I'm not sure if we are talking about all blogs, or our blogs.
You see, you won't be posting low-quality work ever. You are just too good in general to do that. So from you? I want quantity. I don't expect you to pour over your work for an eternity before you publish it every time. It's good out of the gate.
But it's not black and white, so I'm abstaining from voting :)
And Linus is totally going to do that to the administrator. Little stinker.
Smiling at how he says pineapple.
"Babboon"! So cute.
I voted for quality. Honestly, I follow a ton of blogs and news sites, and the way to make sure I read every post is if a person isn't posting ten times a day.
Ahh kids-I'm sure he will end up forming complete sentences for the reviewer, just because you set it up! In seriousness though, don't worry-Little Dude didn't talk much until this past Christmas and now I can't get him to be quiet...ever...esp when he feels he needs to share with everyone in the bookstore that "MOMMY HAS TO GO POTTY!!". OH Sigh. :)
I'm with Marty totally! gramma B.
Oh my - that is SO funny, I swear I tried to tell my husband your comment about eating hands and I was laughing too hard to get it out. Thank you!!!!
