A Change Will Do You Good

I've recently updated my living room. I was in desperate need of new curtains and my light fixture, though hung for over 2 years, was supposed to be temporary. I found these curtains on sale at Pottery Barn Teen (yes, Teen) but was concerned about the length. Now that they're up, I think the length adds to the retro feel. The light fixture was a real score at only $7 from World Market.

BEFORE

(Please ignore the vacuum cleaner.)

AFTER

Plus, I did a little switch up with my frames. They used to contain paper collage cat images.

So, what do you think?

Me gusta! So I have to confess that when we saw it last weekend, I thought you said you got the light fixture at Wal-Mart and I cried on the inside. But now that I see it's World Market, I can look at it and smile. :) I'm such a Wal-Mart elitist sometimes.

I like the frames because now I try to guess what will be up next. "Thunder"? "Too Hot!"? "when will it ever stop raining?" Oh that last one may be a bit too long.

Oh, I love World Market, and they closed ours! So sad. :(

But good for you that you changed things up a bit. Doesn't it make you feel good to have things a bit different?

Great job! - Julia
