Put Another Dime in the Jukebox, Baby

Here's the latest craze around our house. Daddy has Rock Band and Linus has his own version.

It's not a new idea at all. Most of us grew up doing this at least once. Once because that was about all the noise our mothers could stand. I am certain they let us play until we were no longer interested, then quietly hid the evidence vowing, "Never again."

If you do have the patience (or earplugs) to stand it, it's a long-lasting, zero mess activity that just might allow you to get supper in the oven or reply to a few of your growing pile of emails.

I personally recommend the authentic drumsticks for a real rock star feel, but you can also use wooden spoons, metal tongs, basting brushes, or any other stick-like implement. And who knows, maybe you'll have the next Dave Grohl, John Bonham, or Ringo Starr on your hands. (Of course, we have to work on keeping a beat before we start dreaming like that.)

Needs more cowbell.

My favorite part has to be the semi-"twirling" of the sticks, like only a TRUE rocker would do!!

Hahah, love it! Pots and pans are the greatest toys ever :) Except when dirty...Little Dude still tries to "help" with the dishes...much to my dismay when I'm trying to put the really dirty ones in the washer...oh my.

Too cute! And I swear he actually twirls the drum sticks. What a rock star!

Love it! And I do think he almost has the "twirl" down. He could probably teach dad a few tricks! gramma B.
