Things in my life that take an eternity to accomplish because of the time eating gnome known as Linus.
- Dressing said toddler: should take 2 minutes, takes 20.
- Preparing a 'quick & easy' recipe: should take 20 minutes, takes 60.
- Vacuuming the furniture: should take 10 minutes, takes 40.
- Washing and drying (not even folding) one load of laundry: should take 1.5 hours, takes 1.5 days.
- Leaving the house to have an 'easy' meal out: should take 5 minutes, takes 25 minutes.
- Reading a novel for enjoyment: should take 2-5 days, takes, well, I'll let you know.
And in a most cliched fashion, I will say I wouldn't change it for anything in the world despite the sleepless night, massive headache, and bitter spousal exchanges. I will, however, think twice (toddler time) before doing it again.

I've got nothing in the way of baby gear. Except maybe that less is more? But that doesn't go over well if you need gift ideas ;) Unless you went with something like gift certificates for a massage, photos, framing, meals... Do they make gift certificates for house cleaners?
Or sleeping pills.
Clearly I'm not a mom :)
Also, I miss hanging with Linus, so if you guys ever want to drop him at our place and go shopping or hang at home by yourselves or anything I'm totally willing. Of course I can come there too!
Ah yes, toddlers. The days are long, the years are short. I don't miss that stage at ALL. EVER. Lucky for them, they're cute!
Toddler time suck also true with a cruising/crawling 10 month old. I hear ya!
