At first I was afraid, I was petrified. That sums exactly how I felt when I thought about having to take an infant on a five hour flight. I was especially concerned as he is crawling therefore knows that he doesn't have to be in my lap. There was no reason to fear as Linus was fantastic making friends with flight attendants and fellow passengers. He didn't however take more than one twenty minute nap. He only got really squirmy the last hour but I had a secret mommy weapon... a Baby Einstein video. Now usually I wouldn't dream of allowing Linus to watch such coma inducing material or anything for that matter but I figured after four hours of exclusive bonding time, my guilt was gone. Wow, did it work. I just held my iTouch up for him and he was chill for 25 minutes, enough for mommy to take a deep breath.
Therefore, I have to give Baby Einstein two thumbs up for long (maybe even short) flights.

Everything in moderation, even Baby Einstein...
Are you guys flying home and then coming here? Or just from phx to here?
Back to Durham first, then out to KS on Thurs. Bleargh.
Little Linus will be a super flyer before long? And flirting always makes the time pass quickly! gramma B.
glad to hear that you three survived the lengthy flight. linus is such a charmer. : )
the kitties are doing great. everyone greeted us at the door and impatiently waited for the food and water to be refreshed (meow MEOW meow). i think madeline was reeling from seeing kitties other than pickles -- especially since none of them ran away from her as she lunged for them!
see you tomorrow!
