Because He Still Lets Me Dress Him

I'm a planner. Always have been. But even I have to admit that this may have been a bit extreme.

Those are the 10 outfits I packed for Linus to wear during our recent trip to San Francisco. I wanted to maximize the number of shirts and pants (he's a dirt magnet afterall) while minimizing the additional layers. Thus almost all of the outfits coordinate nicely with a navy hooded sweatshirt and/or a navy reversible puffer vest.

I knew it was worth the effort though when I started packing and found that all his clothes fit in less than one-half of our smallest carry-on.

Ah, the things you've gotta do when airlines charge for checked luggage.

Plus, since I took all the photos with my iPhone, the planning had the added bonus of my husband being able to dress Linus in perfectly coordinated outfits without any nagging from me. He just checked the photo.

Do you have an 'Organization Gone Wild' story? Do have any special tricks when packing for a vacation? I'd love to hear them.

Extreme to some, brilliant to others! Or maybe I'm just tickled to know there is someone else as over-the-top as I am. Minus the photos (which I will now be adding to my routine) I do the EXACT SAME THING. (Even pre-kiddo when MY wardrobe was my first priority. Ah...the good 'ole days.) :)

Hope your trip was fab. It's one of my top 3 favorite cities.

I had Evelyn's outfits rolled up in individual, labeled ziplock baggies. All 14 of them (you never know when spit up will strike). A week in advance. :) Extreme, perhaps, but it did make dressing and grabbing extra clothes for the diaper bag SO fast and easy all week!

Brilliant! My kids dress nicer when we go on vacation because I choose what's in the duffel bags!

I am so not that organized. About anything, really. But I like all of the super-cute boy clothes! Linus was one well-dressed kiddo on vacay. Hope you guys had a fantastic trip. When we went to Napa two years ago, we spent the first day/night in SF, and I wished we could have stayed longer. What a great city.

Your hubby checking the photos just cracked me up! I WISH I were this organized. Sadly, I was super organized before I had kids and now... I'm a mess!

Cute outfits by the way!
