What I really want to share with you are stories, pictures, and videos of our recent trip. However, all those are on my husband's computer since I didn't take mine with me. Since he hasn't gotten those to me yet, I'll just have to improvise.
Really though, improvising and being spontaneous is not so bad. Take for instance today. Today, my little guy woke up with congestion and a sore throat. I had intended to get some things done around the house, but instead had to change plans. Instead of laundry, I got to snuggle in bed watching "Cars". Instead of dusting, I got to head outside and do a rain dance* until the skies opened up. Instead of cleaning dishes, I got to pull on my rain boots and splash in the puddles. Instead of picking up toys, I got to hear a sugary sweet voice singing the ABC's. Instead of being the housekeeper, I got to be the mom, and it was priceless.
Tomorrow, I will likely have to go back to searching for the balance between mommy and housekeeper, but for today I will savor the spontaneity and memories.

Love this, Abby. As a mom, most often the unplanned moments are the very best!
Snuggles while watching TV in bed are the best.
