I can count on one hand the number of times I have ever won anything in a contest, drawing, or otherwise. I'm just not a lucky person. I remember as a little girl being almost gleeful upon finding a Publisher's Clearing House envelope in our mailbox. I'd diligently complete all the tasks, locating each and every sticker and adhering them in the proper location. I'd practically be in tears begging my mother to choose a magazine-just one-because I was certain it would increase our chances of winning. I would even run downstairs to consult my dad regarding what color Jaguar he wanted (always emerald green). I was positive I would win. Sadly, Ed McMahon never showed up on our doorstop with a giant check.
But that's me. You, you are a winner. Or at least you can be. My Sweet Babboo in conjunction with LeapFrog is giving you the chance to be a winner. This is your opportunity to win a LeapFrog Tag Reader bundle. A bundle that includes one Tag Reader and a copy of Ozzie & Mack as well as the Seuss classics The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham.
Entering is easy- well, easier than finding all the right stickers in the ream of Publisher's Clearing House papers.
How to Enter:
- Read Christy's review of the Tag Reader over at About.com and come back here and leave a comment sharing one thing you learned about the Tag Reader from her review. (This is required before all other entries.)
- Write a post about the contest on your blog including the contest link then leave me a comment with a link to your post. (1 additional entry)
- Follow me on Twitter (@sweetbabboo). Leave me a comment and let me know your Twitter name. (1 additional entry)
- Tweet about the contest and include the contest link and @sweetbabboo. (Just not at the beginning or it's just a reply.) Leave me a comment with a link to the tweet. You get one entry per tweet, and you can do this daily until the giveaway is over. (1 entry per tweet per day)
That's it. Contest ends March 25th at Midnight EST. Open to US and Canada residents only. Please be sure to include a valid email address in your comments so I can contact you if you're the winner.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Oh, and in case you don't win, you can scoop up a $10 off coupon for your own Tag Reader purchase simply by pledging to read with your kiddo over at LeapFrog's 1 Million Hours Reading Pledge. Something you should be doing pledge or not.
--------------------------------------------------------------
For additional opportunities to win, Christy will be sharing other mom blogs offering the same giveaway over at her Family Computing blog at About.com. Be sure to visit all of them for your best chance at winning.

I liked that the pen also interacts with pictures in the book and can be used to play simple reading comprehension games. That's so cool. I also wished for Ed McMahon to come to my house to with the balloons and everything.

Read the review about the pen & it sounds like lots of fun - I could see Wyatt really enjoying touching it to both words & pics to hear what they are. We tend to read a lot of the same books, so I could see him really liking using this each night!

I didn't know the pen could interact with the pictures and play games-I always thought it just read the words! That is super awesome! I hope I win, I was actually just going over my budget to see if I could afford to get this for him for his 3rd birthday-He loves reading so much I though this would be super cool for all the long car trips we make! *fingers crossed for a win* hahaha!

Well I agree with Christy that it sucks that only one kid can use the pen, and the battery situation. But I think my 4 year old would still love it and I am sure my 2 year old would enjoy someone helping her use it!

I love that it has volume and a headphone jack... it would be great for our trips to my parents! I'll blog about this to send some peeps over and I'll tweet for you too.
I think this is very cool. Although what I didn't realize it needed internet access. But then, doesn't everything exist on teh intarwebs, so it's not necessarily surprising.
ps. I already follow you on twitter. I will go tweet this contest shortly.
Thanks for the chance to win!

I enjoyed the about.com article. The "cons" helped me assess if this would be something I'd wnat to buy for my child. I hope LeapFrog reads the article and takes it's advice about developing a better pen. Thanks for this giveaway and GLTA!
I pledge to read 20 minutes eash day to my young boys.
The leapfrog has a learning path that allows you to see the progress your child is making.

Thanks for entering my giveaway. Don't forget, you can still earn 2 more entries before it ends on Wednesday by Tweeting about the giveaway.
Also, a few of you have entered but have left me no email address (or don't have one available through your Blogger profile) so I have no way to contact you if you win. Please include your address in your comment or make it available on your Blogger profile so I can be sure to get a hold of you if you win.
Good luck!

WOW! The things they come out with now! I love how just by touching a pen to the paper it tells you the word! This would help kids when they got a little stuck!

I have had my eye on this product for my 4 year old for a while now. While he loves for me to read to him, the independent nature and versatility of this product appear to be just what he needs to take the next step in reading on his own. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I really like that the pen interacts with the pictures and the text...and can also be used for reading comprehension!! My son is a Math whiz...but he struggles in reading..this might be just what he needs!

Thanks for visiting The Snail's Trail during the UBP. I love your blog! I didn't know that the TAG had limited memory and that you had to download audio whenever you got a new book. I'd love to win. It has been on our wishlist for a long time.
I learned to read the regular way when I was a kid, but I'd love to see this Leap system in action- the technology intrigues me! Plus, it might work for the two-yr-old who's language skills are rather advanced (scary!) I learned this from the detailed review:
'The pen holds about 5 books at a time. If your child loves the Tag Reader as much as mine, you’re going to be spending some of your time swapping books in and out. I’d like to see the pen come with expandable memory. On the other hand, there are no little cartridges or memory cards to lose.'
Thanks for the entry!
I love that the pen interacts with the pictures as well as reads the words. I didn't know that.
Stampnsark@aol.com
I love that the pen interacts with pictures, as well as helps your kid with independent reading. However, not that the pen has limited memory for only 5 books at a time. Also, that the cd is not compatable with every computer system.
ashleyh8584@yahoo.com
I learned that this pen can save an individual's reader information. That is cool. Thank you.
