Black or something bold, use glossy paint. Then post pictures!Convertible Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02247648457145957062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10837687.post-39681108399632742372010-06-20T14:18:23.276-04:002010-06-20T14:18:23.276-04:00I love these. If the wood needs work I say paint... but not all white.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08072070862894759251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10837687.post-162718060405426702010-06-10T11:30:17.126-04:002010-06-10T11:30:17.126-04:00I say paint!! I failed to do this on our solid wood bathroom cabinets & the paint peeled & was sort of tacky in some spots where the drawers/doors hit the other wood - felt pads could help with this too! Great finds though!!!Kelly Jerniganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17731465747322146745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10837687.post-11858610930491485992010-06-10T11:09:41.166-04:002010-06-10T11:09:41.166-04:00An inside shot of the dresser is here. Will this replace the bar height buffet that's in there now or be in addition to? Either way, I say go with the pinkish/redish color of that piece. Black introduces a 4th color to the room (oak floors/white table/pink buffet) which makes it a bit too ecclectic in my opinion. Browse YHL's website for refinishing ideas. Maybe new hardware or glass/fabric fronts on the doors? Fun project - can't wait to see how it turns out! (And super bonus points for all the extra storage you're gaining!)Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14091037209425732527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10837687.post-46843483999191340932010-06-10T09:06:35.901-04:002010-06-10T09:06:35.901-04:00You have beautiful solid oak floors....that is eno...You have beautiful solid oak floors....that is enough wood. Go for color......I like the pink you have ...it makes the room fun, interesting and ties nicely with the K chandelier. Colors in the RED spectrum encourages conversation which is what you want in a dining room.momnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10837687.post-75595564475071524772010-06-10T08:19:26.590-04:002010-06-10T08:19:26.590-04:00Nice find! Lots of work, but beautiful results. Looks like a great bargain though! Terry BAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
